Originally the Kings of Malibu, we shortened our name to Malibu when we started playing out. Named after the Chevelle Malibu, we played around St. Louis in the mid 1980s. Like most bands we began with an extensive basement tour entertaining ourselves and aggravating our parents. Then we played around the Delmar loop, openers at Mississippi Nights and of course various parties.
